Saw this and was reminded of the discussion from Monday. Could it be that he is using the new meaning of gay?

I'm not sure where you grabbed this picture from, but I'm judging from the people in the background, I'm guessing that the guy holding this billboard is NOT using "gay" pejoratively. By saying "homosexuals are gay" I think he is humorously stating the obvious, maybe using gay for it's true, original meaning (joyful), or perhaps poking fun at what the "new" meaning has become (stupid, cheesy). I have to guess that this guy is pro-gay rights considering he seems to be campaigning with, rather than against, a guy holding a Dennis Kucinich poster. Anyone else see that? If you follow the Kucinich campaign (he just never gives up), you know he has his "Seven straight nights for equal rights" thing. So, no, I don't think this guy is really using the "new" meaning of gay in a serious way, but maybe to poke fun at what the word has become while supporting the cause. Just curious, where is the imagine taken from? Is there a supporting aricle ?

I grabbed it from Break.com's weekly photos. I am sure there's an article somewhere.

The Kucinich campaign is an appropriate discussion topic for this class. He is low in the polls, but in a blind study of 67,000 voters who were asked about the positions of the candidates (but who were not told who the candidates were) Kucinich scored 53%. No other candidate even reached double digits.

Looks like Hillary and O'Bama's support is a mile wide and an inch deep. Why are they picking these two? Looks? name recognition?

here's the actual survey:
